A press release from the Dutch Ministry of Justice confirmed that of the 14 newly identified victims, seven were Dutch nationals, while the rest were nationals of other countries.

The Ministry of Justice has notified the victims' families. However, the non-Dutch nationalities of the victims have not been disclosed at the request of the relevant embassies.

Previously, on July 17, Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Ukraine, killing all 298 passengers and crew, including 193 Dutch nationals.

Access to the plane crash site is very difficult and dangerous due to fighting between Ukrainian government forces and federalization forces in the East.

On September 19, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte once again reaffirmed the danger of accessing the scene after most Dutch investigators were forced to return to the country due to the fierce fighting in Ukraine./.
