According to RIA Novosti on January 25, US President's special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg told Fox News that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost many soldiers in the conflict with Russia.
“Ukraine has lost more soldiers than the total US losses in the Korean and Vietnam Wars combined,” Kellogg said, assessing the irreparable losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Mr. Kellogg also noted that he reported to President Donald Trump on the current situation in Ukraine on January 24. Mr. Kellogg expressed confidence in ending the conflict, but according to him, this should not happen on the battlefield.
Former US President Joe Biden adopted a "kinetic" approach - "having as many guns as possible to continue the conflict", but his successor Donald Trump has a different view, said special envoy Kellogg.
According to Kellogg, President Trump believes that economic measures will help speed up the end of the conflict, so the current US leader proposed that OPEC reduce oil prices. Trump's advisers noted that the US President considered the price of "$45/barrel" to be reasonable.
Earlier, the Kremlin said the Ukraine conflict did not depend on oil prices.
