National Assembly delegates meet voters in Do Luong

(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing to prepare content for the 7th National Assembly session, on the afternoon of April 29, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the National Assembly's Petition Committee, National Assembly delegate of Nghe An province, 13th term, and his delegation went to Thuong Son commune to meet with voters of Do Luong district. Attending the meeting were representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district.

At the meeting, on behalf of the elected National Assembly deputies in the group, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien reported to voters on the socio-economic situation and important contents that voters are interested in and will be discussed at the upcoming 7th session, in which the central content is the law-making program, performing the supreme supervisory function, listening to socio-economic reports and questioning and answering questions... The leader of the People's Committee of Thuong Son commune reported to the National Assembly deputies and voters some basic features of the socio-economic situation.

At the meeting, voters raised questions focusing on the following issues: They wished the state to have regulations clearly guiding cases eligible for Agent Orange subsidies with specific, clear lists, through medical examination; when enrolling students, opening vocational training schools or colleges and universities, it is necessary to consider output to reduce pressure and waste of human resources; some families install 3-phase power lines, the electricity branch collects 2.5 million VND in contributions which is too high; adjust to ensure benefits for families with 2 martyrs equal to the incentives for families with only one martyr; have a mechanism to issue certificates to former Youth Volunteers. It is proposed that through land consolidation according to Directive 08, the district should ask for opinions from the lower level to adjust production land for those born after October 15, 1993; strengthen inspection to rectify administrative discipline and public ethics;There are subjects who are clearly eligible for benefits, but the payment of pensions to policy subjects is too slow; road maintenance fee collection is still inadequate, some places are strict, some places are not, and there is no inspection or punishment. The State has a policy to support plant and animal varieties to develop agriculture and forestry, but the consumption and output policies are not commensurate, leading to a situation where when the harvest is good, the price is low and vice versa; continue to check the quality of goods, and impose strict punishment to deter those who trade and circulate fake and poor quality goods....

At the meeting with voters, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hanh - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee reported and explained the issues and contents of voters' recommendations within his authority. Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien thanked voters for their interest and trust in the National Assembly in resolving major issues of social life; at the same time, he promised to seriously absorb and synthesize them to present to the National Assembly at the upcoming session. Issues under the authority of local departments, branches and the People's Committee, and the National Assembly delegation will be transferred and continue to urge relevant agencies to resolve.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien presented 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to 10 policy families and poor households in the commune.
