National Assembly delegates meet voters in Nghia Dan and Tan Ky districts
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 3, in Nghia Dan town, National Assembly deputies including Mr. Tran Van Hang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV met with voters who are key officials of agencies and departments at district and commune levels in Nghia Dan district.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi informed voters of the results of the 7th session of the 13th National Assembly. Accordingly, at the end of the session, delegates reviewed and approved 11 laws, 2 resolutions and gave opinions on 16 draft laws. At the meeting with voters, voters of Nghia Dan district mainly listened to the contents of the recent National Assembly session, especially information on the situation in the East Sea.
National Assembly Deputy Tran Van Hang informed voters about the situation in the East Sea since China illegally placed the HD 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. He also clearly stated our country's viewpoints, stance and solutions to fight China against its serious violations of Vietnam's sovereignty, the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea. National Assembly Deputy Tran Van Hang also informed voters about the reason why the National Assembly has not yet approved the amendments and supplements to Resolution No. 35 of the National Assembly on taking a vote of confidence and rejecting a vote of confidence for people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly and People's Councils.
At the end of the meeting with voters, voters agreed and highly appreciated the spirit and responsibility of the National Assembly's work in the last session.
On the same afternoon, at Lat Town, National Assembly delegates continued to meet voters of Tan Ky district.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi informed voters of the results of the 7th session of the 13th National Assembly. After that, voters had many opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly deputies on domestic and local issues. Voters highly agreed with the viewpoints, stances and solutions of the Party, Government and National Assembly in the fight against China's illegal placement of the HD 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. In addition, voters also recommended that our country should sue China in the International Court. Voters also welcomed the National Assembly's extensive and democratic contact with voters and listening to their opinions, however, the National Assembly needs to speed up the resolution of voters' direct recommendations.
In addition, voters also made recommendations on law enforcement, handling of land-related issues, complaints, denunciations, and local cases; the allocation of agricultural land to farmers according to Decree 64. At the same time, voters gave opinions on the settlement of policies for policy beneficiaries; and the effectiveness of some implemented projects and works.
