National Assembly delegates meet voters at the Irrigation Department

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 23, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize a meeting with voters before the 7th session at the Irrigation Sub-Department. Comrade Pham Van Tan - Provincial Party Committee member, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the meeting.

At the meeting with voters of the Irrigation Department, the National Assembly Delegate announced the expected content of the program of the 7th session of the 13th National Assembly. On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Comrade Pham Van Tan raised a number of contents that voters in the whole province proposed related to irrigation work, which were collected by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation during recent meetings with voters at the grassroots level. Accordingly, the opinions that many voters were interested in and proposed were: some irrigation systems serving agricultural production have seriously degraded; sea dyke works have not received due attention; irrigation works are still scattered, not synchronized, and have low efficiency. Overview of the voter meeting

Representatives of the Irrigation Department reported on the management of reservoirs and the implementation of the irrigation fee exemption policy according to Decree 67/2012/ND-CP. Accordingly, the province currently has over 625 reservoirs. Most of these reservoirs have been in use for a long time, from 30 to 40 years, with some reservoirs built over 50 years ago, designed according to old standards, of poor quality, and with many potential risks of incidents. Regarding the voters' recommendations raised by the National Assembly Delegation, the Irrigation Department accepted and explained a number of contents within the unit's responsibilities. Also at the meeting, the Irrigation Department raised a number of recommendations related to irrigation work in the province, proposing to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to comment at the upcoming 7th session of the 13th National Assembly.
