Iran's Grand Ayatollah: The US government is unreasonable and unreliable
According to AFP news agency, on October 5, Iran's supreme leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, criticized several aspects of President Hassan Rouhani's visit to the United Nations General Assembly, during which he had a phone call with his US counterpart Barack Obama.

Comments posted on the Khamenei.ir website stated: "We support the government's diplomatic initiative and see the importance of the government's work on this trip... However, some things that happened during the New York trip were inappropriate... We are pessimistic about the Americans and do not trust them at all. The US government is unreliable, arrogant, unreasonable and does not keep its word."
Ali Khamenei also said he had heard "the enemy's repeated and disgusting threats," and declared that Iran would have a "strong" response to any enemy action after Israel threatened to act alone against Iran's nuclear program./.
