Congress of the Fisheries Association Party Cell in Nghe An

On the afternoon of August 13, the Quynh Lap Commune Fisheries Association Party Cell held its 1st Congress for the 2022-2025 term. The Quynh Lap Commune Fisheries Association Party Cell is under the Quynh Lap Commune Party Committee and Hoang Mai Town Party Committee. This is the first pilot model of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on a special Party Cell.Established on July 21, 2021 with 15 party membersare ship owners and crew members who regularly fish for long periods at sea.

The political report of the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term presented to the Congress for the 2022-2025 term affirmed: After more than 01 year of establishment, the Party Cell has led the Quynh Lap Commune Fisheries Association to carry out political tasks and achieved important results. The Party Cell has done a good job of ideological work, propaganda, and mobilizing fishermen to properly implement the Fisheries Law and the Government's Directives on combating illegal fishing; the annual catch output reaches 30,000 - 32,000 tons/year, the average income of Fishery workers reaches 60 - 70 million VND/year.

The Party cell actively encourages ship owners and fishermen to go offshore and far to exploit and protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands. In 2021 - 2022, there were 3 ships with 12 fishing trips in distant seas (Hoang Sa). Thanks to the development of the fishery, it has contributed to promoting the development of onshore fishery logistics service establishments such as: Oil, ice, fishing nets and gear trading services for seafood exploitation as well as seafood processing; rescue work was deployed promptly, contributing to minimizing damage to people and property.

Party members in the Party Cell are exemplary in the movement to build new rural areas, participate in supporting and preventing the Covid-19 pandemic, and are exemplary in local search and rescue work. Recently, the Party Cell has introduced two outstanding people to propose to the higher Party Committee to admit them into the Party.

In addition to the achieved results, the Party cell also recognized the shortcomings and limitations and proposed tasks and solutions for the 2022 - 2025 term. On that basis, it will continue to promote its role as a vanguard, connecting fishermen at sea, supporting each other to develop the economy and protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The Congress also elected a Party cell committee of 3 comrades. Comrade Phan Van Hai was re-elected as Party cell secretary; comrade Nguyen Quoc Ha was re-elected as Deputy Party cell secretary and comrade Tran Dinh Hanh was elected as Party cell committee member.
