The 2nd Congress of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Ky Son District, term 2013-2018
(Baonghean) -On the morning of January 16, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Ky Son district held its 2nd Congress for the 2013-2018 term. Attending the congress were representatives of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of the province and 124 delegates who are members of the Ky Son Association.
The Ky Son Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association was established in 2007. Despite many difficulties, over the years the association has made significant contributions to protecting the peace of the country's border as well as fostering the friendship between the two countries. The association has warmly welcomed Lao delegations to visit and exchange, and at the same time created conditions for the two nations to visit relatives, exchange culture, and celebrate holidays and Tet.
In the field of security and defense, the Association has propagated to the people not to listen to bad people, not to migrate illegally, to preserve the territory without land disputes, and to protect border markers.
In recent years, Ky Son has also sent many agricultural delegations to help the neighboring country build a number of models and support a number of plant and animal varieties. In the coming time, the Association is determined to continue to overcome difficulties, by all means tighten solidarity, create conditions for people on both sides to exchange culture, trade and develop the economy.
The Congress also elected 13 comrades to the new Executive Committee.
