Hung Nguyen Education Trade Union Congress, Term XXIV - 2012-2017

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, October 19, the Education Trade Union of Hung Nguyen district held the 24th Congress - Term 2012 - 2017.

Attending the event were representatives of the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Federation of Labor, the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee and over 120 delegates representing 57 Trade Union organizations and 1,381 education union members in the entire district.

In the past term, Hung Nguyen District Education Trade Union has made remarkable progress: 5 consecutive years as an excellent and strong unit of the district and province, awarded the emulation flag by the Provincial Labor Federation, has made many contributions to the educational development of the district, affirming the position of the trade union organization in the entire education sector and society.

Up to now, the district education union has 57 organizations and 1,381 union members, of which female workers account for 88.9%, with many forms of propaganda and mobilization of cadres, civil servants and workers to actively study and improve their understanding of the socio-economic situation of the country, the locality, and the political tasks of the sector, thereby enhancing their political stance, being ambitious, and striving to contribute to the education cause of the district. In the 2011-2012 school year, there were 96 teachers who were excellent teachers at the district level, 03 emulation fighters at the provincial level, and 112 emulation fighters at the grassroots level. The district union activities have many rich contents, union members actively participate in the campaigns: "Two-good emulation movement", "Good at national work and good at home work", "Each teacher is a model of self-study and creativity".

During the past term, Hung Nguyen Education Trade Union was recognized by the Provincial Labor Federation as an excellent strong Trade Union for 5 consecutive years. In 2008 and 2010, it was awarded a Certificate of Merit and Emulation Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In 2011 and 2012, it was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation.

The Congress elected 15 comrades to the new Executive Committee and elected a Delegation to attend the Congress at a higher level.
