Congress of Delegates of Nghe An Tourism Association for the 2023 - 2028 term

Attending the congress were comrades: Pham Van Thuy - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Vu The Binh - Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association; representatives of Tourism Associations of provinces and cities across the country.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism; representatives of departments, branches, provincial units and more than 100 delegates from tourism businesses in the province.

Over the years, acting as a bridge between businesses and state management agencies, Nghe An Tourism Association has actively grasped the difficulties, problems, recommendations and proposals of members, promptly reflecting them to leaders at all levels, relevant agencies, departments and branches to find solutions, helping businesses stabilize their business operations.

The Association always focuses on training in many forms, coordinating with schools that specialize in tourism in the province to open professional training classes and on-site training. In the past term, Nghe An Tourism Association has coordinated to organize more than 60 classes (more than 5,000 students) to train and improve professional skills for tourism businesses.

Every year, the association participates in and coordinates with the Department of Tourism to successfully organize competitions such as: Provincial-level competition for skilled hotel room attendants, Costume Performance Competition; Nghe An Province Tour Guide Competition; The first Tourism Singing Competition in 2022; Receptionist Competition in tourist accommodation establishments in the three provinces of Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Tinh in 2023, etc.

Regarding the direction, goals and tasks for the 2023 - 2028 term, Nghe An Tourism Association determined to continue promoting the achievements, striving to achieve the main goals set out such as: Strengthening the Association's organization to be increasingly strong in both quantity and quality; Improving competitiveness, diversifying tourism products, orienting businesses to organize tourism programs that are attractive to tourists.

Maintain and promote emulation movements, promote connections, exchanges, cooperation for mutual development, implement the policy of innovating the Association's activities, unite, innovate together to go further in business activities...

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of Nghe An Tourism Association in the past term. At the same time, he noted that in the 2023 - 2028 term, the Association's Executive Committee needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, encourage the enthusiasm and creativity of members; cooperate and support each other in terms of economics, technology and experience.

The Association and tourism businesses need to continue to innovate content and methods of operation, promote digital transformation, and apply technology in business management and operation; closely coordinate with the Department of Tourism, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion and other departments and branches to promote market development and tourism promotion...

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long presented the Nghe An Tourism Association with a banner bearing the words: "Solidarity, integration and development".

Speaking at the congress, comrades Pham Van Thuy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vu The Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association expressed their hope that in the new term, the Nghe An Tourism Association will strengthen the direction of businesses to be active in business activities, build new products to attract tourists, contributing to socio-economic development...

At the congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee of Nghe An Tourism Association for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 32 members.

On this occasion, 11 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Tourism Association; 7 collectives and 6 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the People's Committee of Nghe An province.
