The 10th Congress of the Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Border Guard

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, June 28, the Youth Union of Nghe An Border Guard held the 10th Congress to summarizetermthrough and set out directions and tasks for the 2012 - 2017 term.

Reporting to Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square

Attending the Congress were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee - Provincial Border Guard Command; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union branches associated with the Provincial Border Guard and 80 outstanding delegates representing more than 700 Youth Union members of the Provincial Border Guard.

Before that, the delegates held a report ceremony in front of Uncle Ho's statue at the Square named after him.

The report presented to the Congress pointed out: During the past term (2007-2012), the youth of the provincial Border Guard actively studied, cultivated, trained, maintained revolutionary ethics, constantly improved political mettle, cultivated knowledge, working capacity, united, loved and supported each other in comradeship and teamwork; confidently attached to the border; took the lead in all areas of work, ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Overview of the Congress

The youth union's voluntary movement for community life has solved many local tasks. Determining that "The station is home, the border is the homeland, the ethnic people are blood brothers", generations of cadres and youth union members are always closely attached to the people "Eating together, living together, working together, speaking the ethnic language together", actively advising local Party committees and authorities to consolidate political bases, develop the economy, culture, society, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, teach literacy, build "cultural highlights", "boarding houses for the people" in the highland border areas. The image of "green-uniformed teachers" bringing literacy to the people; the image of "green-uniformed doctors" treating people, "green-uniformed cultural soldiers" bringing songs, dances to improve the spiritual and cultural life are increasingly imprinted in the minds of ethnic people. The work of building the union has met the requirements of the new period. The Provincial Border Guard Youth Union was recognized by the Provincial Youth Union for achieving excellent titles every year.

The Congress listened to many opinions and discussions contributing to the political report presented to the Congress, and at the same time shared good experiences and creative ways of doing things in union activities and youth movements.

The congress elected four outstanding delegates representing the youth of the Provincial Border Guard to attend the 16th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province.
