UN General Assembly does not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on not recognizing the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Sputnik correspondent reported.

128 countries voted for the document, 9 voted against, 35 abstained. The resolution was not supported by the United States, Israel, Honduras, Guatemala, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau and Togo.
Earlier, Mr. Donald Trump said that the US would stop financial support for countries supporting the resolution.
According to the adopted document, "any decisions and actions relating to the change of the nature and status" of Jerusalem have no legal effect and must be repealed.
The resolution also calls on all countries not to recognize any measures that are inconsistent with UN Security Council resolutions.
