The United Nations General Assembly does not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on non-recognition of the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Sputnik correspondent said.

128 countries voted for the document, 9 voted against, 35 abstained. This resolution was not supported by the US, Israel, Honduras, Guatemala, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau and Togo.
Earlier, Mr. Donald Trump said that the US would stop financial support for countries supporting the resolution.
According to the adopted document, "any decisions and actions relating to the change of the nature and status" of Jerusalem have no legal effect and must be repealed.
The resolution also requires all countries not to recognize any measures that are inconsistent with UN Security Council resolutions.
