The first Congress of Nghe An Karatedo Association
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, December 16, in Vinh City, Nghe An Karatedo Association held its first Congress of 2012. Attending the Congress were leaders of several provincial departments, agencies and branches.
Nghe An Karatedo Association was established under Decision No. 2442/QD-UBND dated July 3, 2012 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. This is a professional social organization, operating voluntarily, including organizations and individuals with the same interest in practicing and contributing to the development of Karatedo martial arts. The purpose of Nghe An Provincial Karatedo Association is to propagate, mobilize, organize, and guide the masses in the province to participate in practicing and competing in Karatedo martial arts to improve health, will, moral qualities, develop talents, constantly improve achievements, serve the tasks of economic, social, cultural, and sports development of the province.
Overview of the first Congress of Nghe An Karatedo Association
At the Congress, delegates made presentations and contributed ideas to strengthen the Karatedo system, making the Karatedo movement in Nghe An increasingly strong. During the 2013 - 2018 term, the Association strives to have 50 - 70 Karatedo gyms each year in the whole province, each district has at least 3 - 5 clubs with 2,500 - 3,000 students, each district opens 1 - 2 gifted classes (each class has 20 - 25 students) without collecting tuition fees; Coordinate with the Education sector to include Karatedo in extracurricular learning content in schools, from primary to high school; Regularly focus on training a team of both men and women to participate in competitions organized by the Vietnam Karatedo Federation every year, supplementing the provincial team to participate in the National Championship and the National Sports Festival.

Every year, the Association will organize competitions from club to district level and provincial competitions to select athletes for the province; coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial training center to propose the selection of head coaches and athletes for the provincial team according to the criteria to ensure high achievements. Striving in the term 2013 - 2018, the Association's athletes will win 2 - 3 gold medals, 4 - 5 silver medals, 4 - 6 bronze medals at the national level.

The establishment of Nghe An Karatedo Association marks a new development step of the Karatedo movement in the province, promoting the socialization movement in sports activities.
