Congress of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Anh Son district
(Baonghean.vn) -On September 20, Anh Son District held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association - Term 2013-2018.
Over 60 delegates attended the Congress. Comrades from the Provincial Association and the District Party Committee also attended and directed. The members are organizations of 19 agencies and schools that are capable of participating in the district's external activities, have applied to join the association and send representatives to participate, with a total of 630 people. The members are individuals, with 34 people, including 24 at the district level, 5 at Phuc Son commune, and the rest are district-level departments.

The congress heard a report on the draft program of activities of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association for the 2013-2018 term, heard a report on the results of the campaign to establish the association, and the association's charter. The congress approved the contents of the association's charter, determined the importance of the association, and implemented the association's objectives and purposes. The association is responsible for widely propagating to cadres and people to implement border regulations well, building a loyal relationship between the two Vietnamese - Lao peoples, and the relationship between Anh Son district and Xi Xam Pon district of Laos.
Launching the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association for the 2013-2018 term
The congress elected the association's executive committee of 15 members, elected the association's chairman, vice chairman, and inspection committee. Mr. Nguyen Van Son - member of the District Party Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee was elected as association's chairman; Mr. Thai Doan Huu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Lam - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee were elected as honorary vice chairmen.
