Congress of Do Luong District Youth Union, Term V

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 11 and 12, the Do Luong District Youth Union organized the 5th Congress of the District Youth Union for the 2014-2019 term.The Congress was attended by 160 delegates representing 34,059 young people in the district.

During the past term (2009 - 2014), the Do Luong District Youth Union under the leadership of the District Party Committee, the direction of the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and other mass organizations, the work of the Union and the Youth movement have had positive and effective changes, always taking the lead in difficult places with the slogan of action "for the Fatherland, for the homeland - Youth in action", "Youth live beautifully, live usefully"...

The Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Do Luong district, term V, 2014 - 2019, introduced to the Congress

Over the past 5 years, the District Youth Union organized 477 propaganda sessions, traditional talks for 40,601 young people, visited and gave gifts to policy families with a total amount of 380 million VND, supported 5,260 working days to build gratitude houses, organized medical examinations and treatment, and provided free medicine to 3,835 policy beneficiaries worth 192 million VND.

The organization "Voluntary Blood Donation" has 900 young people registered, resulting in 431 units of blood. Actively responding to the campaign "Young people establish their own careers and get rich legitimately", more and more examples of good economic performance have contributed positively to the development of the homeland economy, by doing things such as opening 64 free vocational training classes for 11,798 members, young people such as: Information technology, household sewing, industrial electrical repair, animal husbandry, cultivation, closely coordinating with units stationed in the area to take the lead in economic development and ensuring security, national defense... with the results achieved, the Youth Union of Do Luong district has achieved the title of outstanding for 5 consecutive years.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association with 27 members. Comrade Nguyen Duc Luong, Secretary of the District Youth Union, was elected as Chairman of the Do Luong District Youth Union for the 5th term (2014 - 2019) and 2 full-time Vice Chairmen. At the same time, a Resolution was issued with specific goals and action targets for the new term 2014 - 2019.
