The 9th Congress of Que Phong District Farmers' Association, term 2012 - 2017
(Baonghean.vn) -On November 29, Que Phong District Farmers' Association opened the 9th Congress, term 2012 - 2017.
Overview of the congress
The Congress listened to the Presidium present a report and evaluate the results of the Association's work and the farmers' movement in the past term; the directions, goals, tasks, and solutions of the Association and the farmers' movement in the coming term. The results achieved by the Farmers' Association in the past term were: Proactively introducing new varieties (Nhi Uu 838, cold-resistant Japonica, NA2 rice), high productivity into production; Building 02 large model fields in Muong Noc and Chau Kim communes; Raising livestock to create a stable source of food products in the market (buffalo, cow, grass-fed pig, duck, grass-fed chicken, black chicken, porcupine, bamboo rat, soft-shell turtle...); Building a movement of good farmers; Coordinating to open 86 short-term professional training courses for 9,750 farmers to participate and study; Built models: Growing clean vegetables (Que Son), growing vegetables, tubers, fruits (Tien Phong), passion fruit (Tri Le) and VACR model in Quang Phong, Cam Muon, Chau Thon, Hanh Dich ..., maintained regular activities of the "Cultural Farmer" club in Tien Phong commune; Mobilized all classes of people to join hands and contribute to building new rural areas, over 1,000 farming households donated 58,000 m2 of land for roads and irrigation. In the two communes of Muong Noc and Que Son, 6 new rural criteria have been achieved.
The Congress listened to many opinions and discussions from delegates on targets and solutions to implement and bring the Congress Resolution into life in the fields of agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the coming time.
The Congress elected 25 members of the Executive Committee and 7 members of the Standing Committee.
