Congress of Nghe An Irrigation Association, term 2 (2011-2016)
(Baonghean) - This morning, December 24, Nghe An Irrigation Association held its 2nd term Congress (2011-2016). Attending were comrades: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Professor, Doctor Vu Trong Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Irrigation Science and Technology Association; Tran Cong Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Nghe An province.
(Baonghean) - This morning, December 24, Nghe An Irrigation Association held its 2nd term Congress (2011-2016). Attending were comrades: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Professor, Doctor Vu Trong Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Irrigation Science and Technology Association; Tran Cong Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Nghe An province.
During the past term, the Association has gathered people working in irrigation (including incumbents and retirees) to advise on the development of strategic plans for irrigation development in the area; participate in the development of policies on promoting irrigation; provide consulting services, project planning, survey and design appraisal; quality supervision and appraisal; safety inspection of reservoirs, dykes, water supply and drainage, environmental pollution prevention... making an important contribution to the construction and development of the irrigation sector in Nghe An in particular and the whole country in general, gradually responding to climate change, promptly serving the needs of agricultural production and people's daily life.
The new Executive Committee was introduced to the Congress
Awarding certificates of merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements
The congress elected a 27-member executive committee, with Mr. Tran Huu Luc, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, re-elected as chairman. The congress set out the direction and tasks for the next term: to continuously consolidate and improve the quality of operations; to do a good job of gathering forces, providing consulting and criticism, and providing scientific and technical services.
On this occasion, the Association and many members with outstanding achievements were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Association of Water Resources Science and Technology.
