World Mind Sports Congress: Quang Liem ranked 10th in blitz chess

At the ongoing World Mind Sports Games, chess player Le Quang Liem has completed his second competition, which is blitz chess.

While in rapid chess, Quang Liem only ranked 14/16, in blitz chess, the Vietnamese player's ranking improved to 10th place with 10 points. Specifically, Le Quang Liem won 2 matches against Gamsky (USA), Nielsen (Denmark), drew with Vallejo (Spain), Ivanchuk (Ukraine) and lost to Gashimov Vugar (Azebaijan), Vachier Lagrave Maxime (France), S.Kajakin (Russia).

With 6.5 points out of 7 games, Vachier Lagrave Maxime (France) won the blitz chess event with a total of 12 points, followed by Grichuk (Russia) with 10.5 points. Mamedyarov (Azebaijan) ranked third with 10 points. Yesterday, Le Quang Liem entered the final event of blindfold chess.
