The first emulation congress of "Exemplary Veterans" of Hoang Mai town

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 13, the Association of War Veterans of Hoang Mai town organized the first "Exemplary Veterans" emulation congress, period 2009-2014.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Minh, Major General, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of War Veterans, Comrade Doan Hong Vu, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Council; and 70 official delegates attended the Congress.

The Association of War Veterans of Hoang Mai town currently has nearly 5,000 members, operating in 15 grassroots organizations. After 5 years of launching the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" associated with the patriotic emulation movement, it has created a driving force for War Veterans' members to promote the traditional nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", awakening the great potential of generations of War Veterans, continuing to contribute their strength and intelligence to the homeland. The Congress agreed on the direction and tasks of the exemplary war veteran movement for the next 5 years, 2014 - 2019. Accordingly, the effort is to gather 98.5% of qualified war veterans and former soldiers into the Association; 100% of members participate in studying the Party's resolutions, campaigns and movements launched by the War Veterans Association at higher levels; 100% of association bases achieve clean and strong status; 95% or more of members' families meet cultural standards...

The congress elected 4 delegates to attend the provincial “Exemplary Veterans” Congress. On this occasion, the Town People’s Committee and the Town Veterans Association awarded certificates of merit to 21 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement “Exemplary Veterans”, period 2009 - 2014.
