Nghe An Armed Forces Emulation Congress
(Baonghean.vn) -Today, November 27, the Emulation Congress for Victory of Nghe An Armed Forces for the period 2009 - 2012 was solemnly held. Attending were Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong - Commander of Military Region 4. Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Sy Hoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command chaired the Congress.
In recent years, under the regular and direct leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the Military Region 4 Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the People's Committee of Nghe An province, and with the close and effective coordination of departments, branches, sectors, organizations, Party committees and authorities at all levels and the support of the people of all ethnic groups in the province, the Emulation movement to win of the Nghe An Armed Forces has been maintained regularly, continuously, developed evenly and in the right direction, closely following the political tasks of the unit, closely following each subject and accompanying the campaigns and patriotic emulation movements of the locality, contributing to building a strong and patriotic emulation unit and building a strong and patriotic Party organization.

All cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces always have absolute confidence in the leadership of the Party, are highly united in will and action, clearly recognize the nature, plots and tricks of hostile forces, uphold the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, high combat readiness, proactively overcome difficulties to successfully complete all assigned tasks, ready to receive and excellently complete tasks in remote areas, border areas, islands, flood and storm prevention, search and rescue, fire fighting, forest protection, defense zone drills, mine clearance, explosives, etc.
In particular, advising the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to organize well the Provincial Military Training Exercise in 2009; the annual Military Training Exercise at the district level has always been excellent, contributing to building an increasingly solid defense posture. Advising the Party Committee and the government to perform well the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army every year, always ensuring 100% of the target. Implementing well the contents and measures to build the reserve mobilization force, ensuring that 100% of reserve soldiers are registered, managed and arranged according to regulations. From 2009 to now, nearly 500 officers and soldiers have confidently and excitedly received orders to go to units in remote areas, border areas, islands and to collect martyrs' remains in Laos. In particular, in 2012, the Provincial Military Command mobilized nearly 150 officers and soldiers to mobilize and help the people of Thong Thu commune (Que Phong district) to move out of the Hua Na lake area to the new resettlement area quickly.

Summarizing the Emulation movement to win of Nghe An Armed Forces from 2009 to present, 19 collectives were awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag; 159 collectives were awarded the title of Winning Unit; 252 collectives were awarded the title of Advanced Unit; 554 individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter (many individuals were Emulation Fighters for 3 consecutive years, 2,445 individuals were awarded the title of Advanced Fighter; 97 collectives and 150 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit; 55 collectives and 250 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit. In particular, the Provincial Military Command was awarded the Military Region Emulation Flag in 2009, and in 2010 was awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the President and a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister... These are the most typical and advanced examples in the Emulation movement to win of the Provincial Armed Forces in recent years.

Speaking at the Congress, Lieutenant General, Commander of Military Region 4 Nguyen Huu Cuong emphasized: “Military agencies at all levels have regularly done a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities and acting as the core in implementing military and defense tasks. Actively investing in building a comprehensively strong agency; at the same time, taking care of building a national defense posture associated with a people's security posture, building an increasingly solid defense zone.”
