The 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi will take place in 10 days.
The content of the special program celebrating the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi was completed by a group of authors including artists Trong Khoi, Le Chuc, Doan Hoang Giang and writer Nguyen Khac Phuc (editor-in-chief) and submitted to the Government for approval.

Activities such as: launching the Thang Long - Hanoi thousand years of culture bookshelf, inauguration of Hanoi Museum, inauguration of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton statues, awarding prizes for the international contest "Thang Long - Hanoi your rendezvous"... were also held during the Great Festival.
Writer Nguyen Khac Phuc said that the program will have two important highlights: the opening ceremony on the morning of October 1 and the closing ceremony on the night of October 10. After the national ceremony of the opening ceremony, the play "Thang Long - Hanoi - Vietnam in the Ho Chi Minh era" will be performed, telling a story of the nation's founding from the period before the August Revolution to the present, with the image of Hanoi as a heroic city, a city for peace.
The story is recreated in accordance with the atmosphere and scale of the event. That is, the Ba Dinh Square stage on September 2nd is reconstructed, tens of thousands of people participating will recreate the atmosphere of the pre-uprising period of 1945; the image of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence will also be recreated; October 10th, 1954 when the Government returned to take over the capital; Hanoi fought against American B52s; the Politburo meeting decided on the general offensive in 1975; the image of Hanoi entering the construction process...
Meritorious Artist Le Chuc said: "The water surface of West Lake will be used to create a floating stage, a floating corridor connecting Tran Quoc Pagoda to Ly Tu Trong flower garden"...
Talking about the difficulties in writing the script, People's Artist Trong Khoi revealed that the difficulty for the scriptwriting team was how to ensure the artistic value, express the historical and cultural flow of Thang Long through thousands of years of civilization, and at the same time be feasible. The script also took into account the suitability in terms of budget and implementation time. However, due to actual conditions, there were some details in the script that had to be replaced.
Another important thing is the safety of the people participating in the Great Festival. How to arrange for people to participate in the program is also worth discussing. The Organizing Committee has determined that the art programs to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi are for the Vietnamese people to enjoy and honor national pride.
Therefore, the 10-day holiday scenario in Hanoi is built in detail.
