Taiwan denies possibility of Tsai Ing-wen meeting Trump in New York
Taiwan has dismissed the possibility that President Tsai Ing-wen will stop in New York during her Central American tour next month and wants to meet US President-elect Donald Trump.
CNA news agency quoted Taiwan's foreign minister, David Lee, as saying that there are four places where Ms. Tsai could stop in the US during her trip, but New York is not one of them.

“A meeting with Mr. Trump is out of the question,” Mr. Lee asserted.
Taiwanese media previously reported that Ms. Tsai would make a brief stop in New York and would try to meet members of Mr. Trump's transition team.
