Russian Ambassador to the United Nations: Because of Kiev, the United States is forcing countries to violate the rules on arms supplies
For the sake of Kiev, the United States and its allies are forcing third countries to violate international standards in the field of arms supplies, demanding the production of Soviet and Russian-style weapons without Moscow's permission.
That was the statement made by Mr. Vasily Nebenzya, permanent representative of Russia, at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
“The continued violation of bilateral agreements, including the ban on re-export or production for the supply of weapons to third countries without the permission of the country supplying the weapons or technology, is contrary to basic practices in the field of military supplies,” the ambassador said.

According to him, the secret supply of weapons to this or that region through third countries further distorts the picture of the flow of weapons in the world and reduces transparency in this field.
"Unfortunately, Western countries not only do not fight against such violations, but also encourage them. The United States and its allies are putting pressure on third countries, demanding that they violate such agreements with Russia and other countries in the interests of increasing arms supplies to Kiev," Nebenzya stressed.
"In this way, such actions are a direct violation of basic international norms in the field of conventional arms control, regardless of the explanation of the objectives," Nebenzya said.
"The requirement that the supply of military products must be accompanied by end-user certification is not accidental and has become a widely recognized international practice. Ignoring this practice leads to a situation where the supply chain often ends up on the 'black market' and weapons fall into the hands of organized criminals," the permanent representative of Russia added.
Pumping weapons to Ukraine
The United States is the largest arms supplier to Ukraine. Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, Washington has provided more than $35.8 billion in military aid to Kiev. This includes $35.1 billion in military aid sent to Ukraine since Russia began its special military operation. The total volume of US military assistance to Kiev since 2014 is estimated at more than $37.8 billion.
