Finnish Ambassador visits and works at Nghe An Water Supply Company

(Baonghean) -This afternoon, September 8, Mr. Kimmolahdevirta - Embassy of Finland and his wife visited and worked at Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd. Accompanying them were leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Home Affairs.

The water supply project in the vicinity of Vinh City was approved by the Prime Minister with a preferential credit limit from Finland with a total ODA loan from Finland of VND 297,967 million (equivalent to 10,896,615 Euro), counterpart capital (provincial budget) of VND 89,587 million (equivalent to 3,276,177 Euro); implementation period is 24 months. The plant has a capacity of 20,000 m3/day and night. After completion, it will provide clean water for daily life to the people of Nam Giang and Kim Lien communes of Nam Dan district, Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district); 13 communes, Quan Hanh town (Nghi Loc district) and Nam Cam Industrial Park.

The Ambassador worked with the leaders of the Water Supply Company.

Currently, the project is being implemented on schedule. Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited and the contractor Econet Engineering Oy (Finland) have signed the EPC Commercial Contract for the Water Supply Project in the vicinity of Vinh City. And on December 11, 2010, the investor and the contractor Econet Finland held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the water plant. Currently, the contractor is conducting a survey and designing technical drawings for construction (the prescribed time is 4 months according to the project schedule). The Project Management Board is reviewing the technical drawing design documents for construction approved by the investor before construction, and at the same time carrying out procedures to apply for a construction permit for the National Highway 1A and National Highway 46 pipelines and organizing compensation for the site clearance of the booster pump station in Nghi Lien commune. At the construction site, the contractor has removed the organic layer, gathered materials, and conducted material tests to determine the mix proportions before construction.

At the meeting, Mr. Kimmolahdevirta - Embassy of Finland highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and contractor. With his responsibility, he will create conditions for the water supply project in the vicinity of Vinh to be implemented on schedule.

Previously, Mr. Kimmolahdevirta - Embassy of Finland and the delegation inspected the construction site of the Water Plant of the Vinh Sub-region Water Supply Project in Nam Giang - Nam Dan.
