The move is seen as a positive development in the crisis between the two NATO allies.
A US embassy official in Ankara confirmed the news. The US move comes a day before Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim visits Washington, where he is expected to meet with US Vice President Mike Pence.
According to a Turkish government source, Ankara is expected to make a similar move and partially restore visa services for US citizens.
On October 8, the US and Türkiye suspended all non-immigrant visa issuance activities, following Ankara's arrest of a US consular employee that has caused tension between the two countries./.
