Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee directly inspected power restoration after storm No. 5 at night
Late on the evening of August 27, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province inspected the actual restoration of power supply at some key locations.

Storm No. 5 made landfall in Nghe An on the evening of August 25, causing major damage to infrastructure, especially the power system. Preliminary statistics show that the entire province had about 1,885 fallen and broken electric poles; tens of thousands of meters of wire were broken, causing widespread power outages in many areas.
The total damage caused by the storm in the province is estimated at about 1,421 billion VND, of which the electricity sector alone is one of the most heavily affected sectors.
During the days following the storm, many areas, especially hospitals, medical facilities, production and business establishments and residential areas, faced numerous difficulties due to power shortages.

At Nghe An Provincial Oncology Hospital, the unit must operate generators continuously to serve treatment and emergency care. This not only increases operating costs but also puts great pressure on the medical team in the context of a large number of patients and a very high demand for electricity for medical equipment and machinery.
By 10:00 p.m. on August 27, with the efforts of the Electricity Department, the Provincial Oncology Hospital was officially restored to grid power.
Present at this time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh directly listened to the hospital leaders report on the operation situation during the power outage; at the same time, went to the emergency room to visit and encourage patients, their families and the medical team on duty.

Witnessing the hospital's reconnection to a stable power source, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his peace of mind, emphasizing that this is an important condition for medical facilities to better perform their tasks of examining, treating and saving people's lives.
He sent words of encouragement to the medical staff to continue their efforts, maintain the highest sense of responsibility, and overcome difficulties to care for and treat patients.

From the reality at the hospital, the head of the provincial People's Committee noted that the electricity sector continues to prioritize ensuring electricity supply for medical facilities and hospitals in the area, in order to ensure medical examination and treatment for people, especially critically ill patients.
It is known that immediately after the storm, Nghe An Power Company urgently deployed inspection work, isolated the incident, organized forces and equipment to overcome the damage. All officers and workers were mobilized day and night to stay in the area, racing against time to prioritize the restoration of the power grid system.

Not only mobilizing local forces, Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation and Central Power Corporation also promptly increased human resources and means to support Nghe An in overcoming the incident.
Hundreds of officers and workers from the Electricity Companies of Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Son La, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, etc. were mobilized to the scene. Along with the people, a system of specialized equipment, vehicles, and necessary materials were brought in, creating more total strength for the recovery work.
Reporting to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee during the inspection, Deputy Director of Nghe An Electricity Company Le Quang Thanh said that with the support of other units, Nghe An Electricity Company is making the greatest effort, striving to basically restore power supply throughout the province on August 28.

Through on-site inspections at a number of locations, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility of the electricity sector.
He praised the proactiveness and determination of Nghe An Electricity Company, under the close direction of Vietnam Electricity Group, the coordination of friendly units and the regular attention and direction of the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that quickly restoring electricity to priority facilities, people and businesses is a particularly important task, both demonstrating responsibility to the people and ensuring conditions for socio-economic recovery after the storm.
He requested the electricity sector to continue to maintain a sense of urgency, thoroughly handle existing problems, and complete the goal of restoring power supply to the entire province as soon as possible.
At the same time, it is necessary to calculate long-term solutions so that the power system operates stably and safely, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development and ensuring social security for the people.
