Baranets said while commenting on a video of the US military using the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system. He called the video a "computer game" and questioned its effectiveness, recalling that the weapon has not yet received approval from a US congressional committee or the Pentagon.
A video released by the US military on YouTube shows possible scenarios for using the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), simulating an “attack” on the Russian Project 1164 Atlant cruiser (NATO code name “Glory”) and the S-400 Triumph air defense missile system.
He reiterated that Russia has a real weapon that Moscow could use in response. As an example, he cited the Perimeter automated control complex for a massive retaliatory nuclear strike, which the United States calls "Dead Hand".
“This system is activated in case the Americans attack us with a surprise attack, destroying Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff at once,” Baranets explained.
He added that Moscow plans to use strategic nuclear forces, under which "any country that attacks Russia will be punished".
