Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau talks about regularizing the communal police force
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, at the online conference to deploy the tasks of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate for 2019 organized by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department informed about the regularization of the commune police force.

Currently, the Public Security sector has mobilized 41 regular police officers to work as commune police chiefs and deputy commune police chiefs in 32 communes of 15 districts, cities and towns in the province. The Provincial Public Security Director said that a decision has recently been made to mobilize an additional 250 officers to strengthen the commune police force with two goals.
“The first is to focus on cracking down on crime from now until Tet and the second is the force of the commune police,” said Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, adding that 9 communes of Vinh City have had 63 comrades return to the base; 32 communes with regular police chiefs have been supplemented with 3 comrades each…
The head of the provincial police force added: In places where the regular police force is deployed and there is a regular police chief in the commune, the commune police chief will take full responsibility; in localities where there is no regular police force in the commune, the units will be strengthened to operate in parallel with the commune police, without affecting the rights and interests of the comrades in the commune police force.

"The provincial police only requested the People's Committees of the districts to direct the communes to create favorable conditions for the brothers to arrange food and accommodation during the time of working to gain experience from now until July 2019, when the Law on People's Public Security (amended) will begin to be implemented," said Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau.
Currently, the Central Government is piloting in Kon Tum and has completed the arrangement of the entire regular police force to ensure the reception of commune police and by July 2019, it will begin to draw experience to simultaneously deploy nationwide.
