General Phung Quang Thanh visits and works at Vocational College No. 4
(Baonghean) -Yesterday afternoon, August 25, General Phung Quang Thanh - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense visited and worked at Vocational College No. 4 (Military Region 4).
According to the report of Colonel Le Duc Dung, Principal, from 1993 to present, Vocational College No. 4 has trained and created jobs for more than 235 thousand workers, of which demobilized soldiers and social policy beneficiaries account for more than 60%, with the number of training from 11,000 to 12,000 students/year, training 8 professions at 3 levels (college, intermediate and primary).

Vocational College No. 4 is one of the major vocational training centers in the area. The school has organized training cooperation with academies and schools inside and outside the military, implemented standardization, improved the quality and quantity of teachers and management staff; focused on recruiting and training teachers with postgraduate degrees and skilled experts; strived to have more than 80% of the school have university degrees by 2015, of which 40% have master's degrees or higher. The school is urgently completing and standardizing the training program; focusing on building key occupations, with cutting-edge nature, suitable to the capacity and needs of using resources of society.
General Phung Quang Thanh praised the results and achievements that the school's staff, teachers, students and pupils have achieved in recent years. He reminded the staff, teachers, students and pupils to unite in building "Schools linked to society, vocational training goes hand in hand with human training, theory combined with practice, training linked with use", focusing on comprehensive training of morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics. Students and pupils are not only trained to have solid skills but also trained and cultivated in a humane environment to perfect their personalities and become good citizens; when graduating, they not only have good skills, industrial style, adaptability to the labor market, but also have ethics, professional conscience, love for work, high discipline, the will to rise up and establish a career and a sense of living for the community.
The Minister directed the school's Board of Directors and the Military Region 4 Command to urgently develop and propose a suitable model of organization and staffing for the school to best attract a team of good teachers and lecturers from outside to improve the quality of training; at the same time, organize propaganda work well, attract a large number of demobilized soldiers, students and pupils in the area.
