Ensuring safety for fishermen working at sea

I am honored to be the representative of the Border Guard force to run for the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016 - 2021. In response to the common development requirements of the country and the province and the assigned tasks of the Border Guard force, which are to manage and protect independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, political security, and social order and safety in the province, I am determined to make greater efforts and take greater responsibility to fulfill the assigned tasks and the tasks of an elected representative.

If I am elected by voters as a delegate to the Provincial People's Council this time, through contact activities and maintaining close contact with voters and people, I will synthesize and advise, propose to the Provincial People's Council to plan policies and strategies on protecting border and island sovereignty and building border and coastal areas to develop economically, culturally and socially in accordance with the actual situation and legitimate aspirations of people in border and coastal areas.

In my position, I will strive to do well the following key contents:

First: Regularly study and improve all aspects of political, military, scientific, technical and professional qualifications to meet task requirements in the new situation.

Second: Proactively grasp the situation on the two border lines of the province; advise and propose to the People's Council and the provincial leadership agencies to develop and plan policies on management and protection of border and island sovereignty and security, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing border; resolutely fight against activities that violate the sovereignty of the border and islands of the Fatherland.

Third: Continue to promote the reform of border administrative procedures, creating the most open and convenient conditions for people and businesses to enter and exit and operate in border areas and coastal areas.

Fourth: Coordinate forces to effectively combat all types of crime, especially drug crimes, weapons crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, piracy at sea, fishing ground disputes, marine environmental destruction, etc. Encourage fishermen to go offshore, stick to the sea and protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. Improve the quality of search and rescue work, minimize accidents and risks; ensure the best safety for fishermen when working at sea.

Fifth: Together with comrades in the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command, lead and direct officers and soldiers in the Provincial Border Guard to overcome difficulties and successfully complete the task of firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty, border security, and sea and island security of the Fatherland. Consolidate and build the all-people national defense associated with the increasingly strong people's security posture and the all-people border posture. Actively participate in economic development programs, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and movements to help people build new rural areas.
