Ensuring food safety in school kitchens

The Ministry of Education and Training has just requested that departments of education and training proactively coordinate with health departments and relevant local agencies to seriously implement the contents of the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 200/CD-TTg on focusing on preventing and controlling avian influenza and avian influenza virus strains that can spread to humans.

Schools must ensure food safety and hygiene in communal kitchens, poultry must be cooked thoroughly; provide enough drinking water, clean water to ensure hygiene for children, pupils, teachers, school staff. Regularly clean the school environment, especially water supply works and sanitation works. Strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of regulations on ensuring food safety and hygiene, and school environmental sanitation according to regulations.
