(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, April 11, at the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial People's Committee held a Conference to implement Decision No. 62/2011 of the Prime Minister on the regime and policies for those who participated in the war to protect the Fatherland, performed international missions in Cambodia, and helped Laos after April 30, 1975 and were demobilized, discharged from the army, or quit their jobs.
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 24; representatives of the leaders of Military Region 4, relevant provincial, district, city and town departments and branches.
Conference Overview
On November 9, 2011, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 62 on the regime and policies for those who participated in the war to protect the Fatherland, performed international missions in Cambodia, and helped Laos after April 30, 1975 and were demobilized, discharged from the army, or quit their jobs. This Decision stipulates the monthly allowance, one-time allowance, health insurance, and funeral expenses for the above subjects.
Subjects include: soldiers, people's police, people working in cryptography receiving salaries as soldiers, people's police, enlisted after April 30, 1975, directly participating in the war to protect the Fatherland and performing international missions, with less than 20 years of service in the army, police, cryptography, who were demobilized, discharged, or quit their jobs before April 1, 2000, or changed careers and quit their jobs before January 1, 1995, not eligible for pension, loss of working capacity, or monthly sick soldier benefits; seriously wounded soldiers being treated at war invalids' nursing units managed by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs or returning to their families; National defense workers, police workers, state workers, and experts in various sectors who quit their jobs before January 1, 1995; Commune, ward and town cadres who directly participated in the war have quit their jobs, militia and self-defense forces, and commune police organized and managed by commune-level authorities have returned to their families; Youth volunteers who gathered after April 30, 1975 to perform their duties have returned to their families and are currently not eligible for monthly pensions or disability benefits.
Previously, on March 28, 2012, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 126/KH.UBND on implementing policies for the above subjects, and at the same time established Steering Committee 24 (according to the Conclusion Notice No. 24-TB/TW dated May 5, 2011 of the Politburo) from the provincial level to the ward and commune levels. Districts reported the total number of subjects to the Provincial Military Command, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Provincial Police before May 9, 2012. Groups of subjects with original documents or considered to have original documents will be reviewed from now until the fourth quarter of 2012, groups of subjects with related documents will be reviewed until the second quarter of 2013, and groups without documents will be reviewed through all levels until the first quarter of 2014.
After the conference, the Provincial People's Committee directed relevant departments, branches and localities in the province to implement the procedures on time, ensuring accuracy, transparency and democracy so that the subjects can soon enjoy the regime according to the Prime Minister's decision.
