(Baonghean) - Every time they pick up a brush and sit in front of the canvas, they seem to forget that time is passing and sometimes even forget who they are in this bustling city. That is my feeling when attending a class of the Fine Arts Pedagogy class, Faculty of Fine Arts, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts...

The class had only 4 people, no teacher, no blackboard, no chalk, no textbooks... but only color boards, drawing frames, and all kinds of brushes... Each person "plugged" themselves into the drawing frame, freely imagining and creating. Some drew scenes of coastal people drying nets, others drew street vendors, others drew scenes of Thai women weaving. Each person had an idea, a topic, but within that contained passion and love for life. Lecturer Nguyen Thi Hai Nhung said: “The College of Culture and Arts in general and the Faculty of Fine Arts in particular have their own characteristics in teaching and learning. Each subject usually has 16 periods, of which only 1 period is theory and the remaining 15 periods are practice. Previously, students mainly drew according to the models given by the lecturer, but now the teaching method has been innovated, students are free to choose topics according to their preferences as long as the lines, shapes and color combinations are correct, the painting has aesthetic and humanistic values”. At the end of the course, students submit their products for the lecturer to grade. Any outstanding works are kept for display in the school's gallery.

Practical lesson of Fine Arts Pedagogy class K46, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts.

Student Nguyen Thi Trong was born and raised in the coastal area of Dien Chau, so the image of fishing boats, the image of mothers and sisters in the fishing village struggling to carry fish to sell in all the markets, the image of grandfathers and grandchildren, fathers and sons gathering together to cast nets as if to remove all the hardships have been imprinted in her mind, becoming familiar themes in her paintings. Unlike Trong, her classmate Phan Thi Hoa loves the colorful brocade dresses of Thai women in the highlands. Although she only knows about Thai costumes through books, television and a few field trips, those patterns and colors have captivated the young student, and then the image of the weaving frame appears in a very familiar frame... Each painting is a vivid slice of colorful life. There, young people are free to create and express their love for life according to their own senses. They long to express and affirm their ego in every line and color; is a heart passionate about life and burning with passion for life.

In the past, talking about artistic work meant hard work, hardship, and sometimes even trade-offs, and fine arts are no exception. Although they have only taken their first steps into the path of art, the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts are all used to confining themselves to the canvas all day and all night, struggling with each line. After a long time without drawing, they miss their pencil cases and color palettes so much that their passion grows over time. Over time, it is difficult for anyone to give up. When students register for the Fine Arts major, most of them have a love and a little talent for painting. When they come into contact with people with similar interests, and are enthusiastically guided and instructed by teachers, they are like green shoots that are nurtured and cared for, and then their love becomes a passion and they stick with it for the rest of their lives. Young talents that are nurtured, nurtured and shine are always a stepping stone, creating inspiration and enthusiasm for them to firmly step on the path to the future. Recently, “The Shoe Shine Boy” - one of the works that won the First Prize in school-level scientific research has left a deep impression on viewers. The image of a boy with an innocent face sitting on a brick shining shoes for customers on the sidewalk and forgetting the hustle and bustle of people. The innocent and pitiful boy was sketched by author Nguyen Thi Trong with warm colors and soft lines that made viewers feel sad. It must be a very delicate and sensitive person for the author to feel the innocent and carefree features mixed with hardship on the face of the shoe shine boy. Each painting is like a heartbeat beating before the many aspects of everyday life, full of hardships and contradictions, but also full of love. The authors have sketched the young soul with a young look and a young enthusiasm that is boiling to create and contribute.

Then, after graduating, these young people will be on the podium to teach their passion to children or be present on sunny and windy construction sites, diligently working in art galleries to paint beautiful and meaningful pictures of life...
