People near the North Korean border clash with leaflet droppers
On October 25, attempts by conservative activists to distribute anti-Pyongyang leaflets were fiercely opposed by residents in the border town of Paju.
At 1:00 p.m. (0400 GMT) at Imjingak Park in the town of Paju, about 40 conservative activists planned to release balloons carrying 50,000-100,000 leaflets criticizing Pyongyang into North Korea.

However, the plan could not be implemented because about 200 local residents and liberal activists used agricultural tractors to block the entrances to the park.
Leaflets and balloons belonging to several conservative activists were confiscated and damaged.
Opponents of distributing leaflets by balloon say it threatens people's lives.
Businessmen with businesses in the North also criticized the leaflet distribution as "a wrong action that disrupts the lives of 50 million South Koreans" and urged the government to prevent this intention./.
