Hanoi Symphony Orchestra Performs in Japan
Accepting the invitation to attend the Music Festival “Asian Symphony Music Week”, the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra – Vietnam National Academy of Music will go to Japan to perform from October 1 to October 6, 2012.
The Hanoi Symphony Orchestra will participate in the festival with 85 artists with 2 performances at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall (October 3) and Fukushima Concert Hall (October 5). This is the second time the Orchestra has toured Japan (the first was in 1999).

The program will feature a solo performance by Vietnamese pianist Luu Hong Quang, who has won many national and international awards. The orchestra will be conducted by German conductor C. Schumann. In Fukushima, the orchestra will perform a joint program with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra (Japan).
Before leaving, the Orchestra will have a performance at the Hanoi Opera House at 8:00 p.m. on September 27, 2012. The program will introduce Vietnamese music with works by musician Do Hong Quan.
