Vestibular disorder is a dangerous syndrome that greatly affects the daily activities and quality of life of the patient. The subjects with this disease are getting younger and younger, especially office workers.

People with vestibular disorders often have symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, seeing everything spinning and upside down. In addition, there are symptoms such as tinnitus, hearing loss accompanied by autonomic nervous signs (nausea, anxiety, panic, the patient's consciousness is completely awake)...

With the increasingly busy and hectic pace of life, people often have to work in stressful, pressured environments, polluted living environments, harsh weather, contaminated food, etc., vestibular disorders are becoming more common. This syndrome can occur in many ages, especially middle-aged, elderly, and premenopausal women.

Nowadays, the disease can also be found in young people, people who work in the mind and office. People with vestibular disorders have a high risk of stroke, especially in cases accompanied by diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, etc.

If in the past the disease was common in middle-aged, elderly people, and premenopausal women, today the disease tends to spread to working age and even students. Office workers are at high risk of vestibular disorders due to working in a high-pressure environment, little exercise, and frequent exposure to computers. The disease is also related to irregular eating and sleeping, sitting in one place for a long time, cervical spondylosis, reduced blood flow to the brain, etc.

In Vietnam, it is estimated that about 25% of people under 30 years old have vestibular disorders, more than 65% of the elderly have dizziness caused by vestibular disorders. The rest are mainly people with low blood pressure causing vestibular disorders.

Vestibular disorders do not cause serious symptoms but they greatly affect daily life, work and long-term health. The symptoms of the disease may only appear briefly and then disappear, but they can also last for a long time. This condition often recurs, causing the patient to feel dizzy, lose balance, have headaches, tremble in the limbs, depression, weakness, fatigue, etc. Worse, dizziness increases the risk of falling, causing accidents while driving.

Therefore, for those who often have to use computers or sit for long periods of time, they should not sit for more than 30 minutes, but should exercise and move regularly. They should maintain sports activities such as yoga, gym, walking, running, etc. to help limit and avoid vestibular disorders.
