Hearing the alarm, hundreds of people from Phu Vien village gathered to surround the village gate, used tractors and three-wheeled vehicles to block cars to clarify the group of thugs who came to destroy the village gate for no reason.
At the time the police arrived, there were 3 young men barricaded in a black Lexus 570 with license plate 36A-299.99 and a white car with license plate 36A-407.16. These people were blocked by the people and not allowed to leave. When the police arrived, they persuaded the people to disperse and took the 3 young men and 2 cars to the Nong Cong District Police headquarters to clarify the incident.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien - Chairman of Truong Minh Commune People's Committee said that the people have repeatedly proposed to limit large vehicles from entering and exiting a company's mine, but they have not received any response, so recently the people have agreed to narrow the base of the village gate to prevent large trucks (only allowing vehicles weighing less than 7 tons to enter and exit). It is possible that because large vehicles cannot enter the mine, the company sent people to destroy the village gate.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by Nong Cong District Police.
