Russia's cutting-edge weapons on display in Red Square
The parade was the largest military parade ever held by Russia.
The Victory Day parade on Red Square in Moscow marking the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism ended with a flyover by Russian military aircraft and helicopters.
The Victory Day celebrations on May 9, 2015 were held in 150 cities in Russia and several countries of the former Soviet Union.
According to the Kremlin, 30 leaders of countries, governments and international organizations attended the celebration in Moscow.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova also attended the celebration.
About 16,500 soldiers, nearly 200 types of military equipment and about 140 helicopters and fighter planes participated in the celebration.
At the parade on Red Square, Russia displayed a number of cutting-edge weapons such as the T-14 Armata main battle tank, armored vehicles, self-propelled artillery, intercontinental ballistic missiles, anti-tank missile systems...

Opening the parade was the legendary T-34, the best fighting tank of World War II.
The Kornet-D1 anti-tank missile system is mounted on the GAZ Tigr all-terrain vehicle.
