(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 113th birthday of comrade Phan Dang Luu (May 5, 1902 - May 5, 2015), on the afternoon of May 4, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thanh district organized a flower offering and incense offering ceremony at the memorial house of comrade Phan Dang Luu in hamlet 5, Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Comrade Phan Dang Luu was born on May 5, 1902, in a patriotic Confucian family in Trang Thanh commune, now Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province. From a young age, comrade Phan Dang Luu absorbed the patriotic tradition of his family and hometown, soon becoming a staunch revolutionary soldier in the patriotic movement against French colonialism. From the Phuc Viet Association, Tan Viet Revolutionary Party, Phan Dang Luu became an outstanding revolutionary senior of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Expressing our respect, appreciation and deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Phan Dang Luu to the cause of national liberation, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Thanh district vow to continue to promote the tradition of their homeland, follow the path he has taken, effectively carry out construction work associated with continuing to promote "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"; unite, promote patriotic emulation movements, develop the economy and society, build Yen Thanh increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
