This morning, July 1, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of Nghe An province led by comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to lay wreaths and offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs resting at the National Cemetery of Road 9, Truong Son National Cemetery - Quang Tri province on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2012).

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, July 1, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of Nghe An province led by comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to lay wreaths and offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs resting at the National Cemetery of Road 9, Truong Son National Cemetery - Quang Tri province on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2012).

The National Martyrs' Cemetery of Road 9 (Dong Ha Town - Quang Tri) is one of 72 martyrs' cemeteries in Quang Tri province, the resting place of more than ten thousand heroic martyrs of the forces: main force troops, local troops, militia and guerrillas, and youth volunteers who fought and served on the Road 9 front, Quang Tri battlefield, and Laos during the resistance war against the US. Of these, 3,227 martyrs' graves have been fully identified and are buried according to their provinces and cities; 785 graves have not been fully identified; the rest have unknown names. In the National Martyrs' Cemetery of Road 9, there are 220 martyrs from Nghe An.

Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery in Vinh Truong Commune (Gio Linh District) - a relic closely associated with the heroic history of the 559th Army Corps and the Youth Volunteer Force who fought bravely for 16 years on the front line and the legendary Truong Son Road. This cemetery currently has 10,263 soldiers resting in the motherland, including 1,297 graves of martyrs who are children of Nghe An province.

At the two national cemeteries, provincial leaders and departments of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Uncle Ho Memorial House, the Cemetery Center Memorial, the Memorial Stele and each grave of martyrs from Nghe An.

With all our sincere hearts, the Delegation expressed our gratitude, deep appreciation and infinite sorrow for the heroic and noble sacrifices of the martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation. We pledge before the souls of the martyrs, the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province are determined to build the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho to become increasingly prosperous and civilized; to study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh as well as the self-sacrificing actions of the martyrs for the country; and to continue to do a good job of educating the revolutionary tradition for the young generation of the province. Here, the Delegation also kindly visited and encouraged the caretakers to continue to take good care of the graves of the martyrs.
