Under construction, two 60-ton bridge girders fell into the river.
During construction, two 60-ton beams on the Black Bridge (Go Noi Bridge) connecting Duy Xuyen District with 3 communes in the Go Noi area (Dien Ban District, Quang Nam) suddenly broke and fell into the river.
At 2:00 p.m. on November 11, while the construction unit was moving beam 2 into a fixed position, a tool suddenly broke, causing beam 1 to fall into the river. Although there were supporting beams, the weight of these two beams was too great (each beam was 33 m long and weighed about 60 tons), so they could not bear it, causing both beams to fall.

One of the bars was broken into several pieces. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Mr. Dinh Van Thu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, said that this was only an accident due to a problem with the crane equipment, so the construction unit had to fix the problem.
The new Black Bridge started construction in October 2011, with an investment capital of 176 billion VND. The total length of the project is 2,142m, the bridge surface is 9m wide. Previously, at the end of 2010, the old Black Bridge also had a broken span due to floods.
