(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 14, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review two years of implementing Directive 03 of the Politburo on promoting “Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh”. Before the conference, delegates offered flowers to pay tribute to Uncle Ho at the square named after him.

Over the past two years, studying and following Uncle Ho's moral example and his teachings for the Border Guard, all cadres, party members and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard have actively studied, cultivated, trained, maintained revolutionary moral qualities, constantly improved political qualities, cultivated knowledge and working capacity, united, loved and supported each other; ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

In the work of protecting the sovereignty and security of the border and sea areas, and fighting against all kinds of crimes, each cadre, party member and soldier always promotes the sense of responsibility, sticks to the area, grasps the situation and subjects, and fights to achieve encouraging results such as organizing 541 border and sea patrols/2,551 people, detecting and handling 414 cases/710 subjects violating the Border Regulations; detecting and arresting 135 cases/153 subjects, seizing nearly 14 kg of heroin, 20 kg of marijuana; 12,259 synthetic drug pills, 2 kg of crystal meth; 1.1 kg of opium,... administrative fines paid to the State budget more than 1 billion 400 million VND.

In studying and following his example of thrift, patriotism and love for the people, cadres and soldiers have saved a part of their personal expenses.received nearly 400 million VND to give gifts to poor people on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation, families with meritorious services and poor students with good academic performance in border communes. Hundreds of officers and soldiers helped people with thousands of working days in production, helped 50 households escape poverty, repaired and overcame the consequences of storms and floods in 67 houses, and repaired nearly 300 km of inter-village roads. The Women's Union and the Youth Union of the Provincial Border Guard also donated to help give gifts to children of officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances worth more than 16 million VND.In particular, in implementing the movement "Border Guards join hands to build new countryside", in addition to the tasks assigned by the superiors, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard have directly helped 3 poor communes (Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district; Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district and Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district) and were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their good implementation of the movement to help poor communes in the Western region of the province.

The work of building units and building the Party of the provincial Border Guard has many positive changes, the leadership capacity, fighting strength of the Party Committee, Party organizations, the quality of the contingent of cadres and Party members are increasingly improved, the internal unity is always maintained.
