Provincial Military Party Committee strengthens national border protection work
(Baonghean.vn) - Today (June 12), the Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 24 on Vietnam's National Defense Strategy; Resolution No. 33 on the National Border Protection Strategy and Resolution No. 29 of the Politburo on the Strategy for Protecting the Fatherland in Cyberspace.
Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Colonel Pham Van Dong - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 4 and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Military Command, Commanders, Political Commissars of 21 districts, cities, and towns; Regiment Commander, Political Commissar of Regiment 764.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Committee and Party committees at all levels have thoroughly disseminated the goals, principles, guiding principles, tasks, and solutions to implement Resolution 24-NQ/TW to all cadres, party members, and soldiers of the provincial armed forces.
The Provincial Military Party Committee has well led and directed the work of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue resolutions and projects on military and defense tasks; military recruitment, training in defense and security knowledge for subjects; investing in the budget to build military potential and posture in the province's defense area according to approved projects;
Party committees and Party committees at all levels strictly maintain combat readiness, regular construction, improve training and drill quality; closely combine economic and social development with strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs; the province's economic and social development goals, tasks, programs and projects are associated with the task of building and strengthening national defense and security potential.

Implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW, the Provincial Military Party Committee has closely coordinated with the forces to grasp the situation on the western border and the sea, promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the effective handling of situations; invested funds to build a system of combat works on the islands and mainland; led the regular maintenance of meetings, exchanges, study, communication and assistance between military agencies of provinces and districts with corresponding border organizations of the provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay).
Regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW, the Provincial Military Party Committee has strictly implemented regulations on protecting secrets, information security, and network security, raising vigilance against reactionary and toxic content; encouraging cadres and party members to actively write, comment, and share content to fight against wrong and hostile viewpoints in cyberspace; promoting the role of Steering Committee 35 in directing, guiding, and organizing training for "Force 47" agencies and units on the content, form, methods, and ways to fight against plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces in cyberspace; doing a good job of propagating the activities of the provincial armed forces in cyberspace, at the same time, applying software to protect and secure data...
Through the conference, the overall situation and results of 5 years of implementing Resolutions No. 24, 29, 33-NQ/TW of the Politburo were comprehensively assessed; advantages, outstanding results; limitations, shortcomings, causes and lessons learned. To determine directions, tasks and solutions and continue to implement the Resolutions of the Politburo in the coming time, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, political systems, cadres, Party members, and armed forces for the task of building a national defense; managing and protecting national borders; protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
