"Party members go first..." in Thanh Thinh

(Baonghean) - While many localities are still facing difficulties and problems in site clearance, in Thanh Thinh commune (Thanh Chuong), each village has dozens of households voluntarily donating land, crops and material assets to build works serving the community, contributing to the implementation of the new rural construction program. This is the result of "skillful mass mobilization" work carried out by cadres and party members.

In Thanh Thinh, the work of "skillful mass mobilization" is clearly demonstrated in the process of implementing the new rural construction program. To "permeate" the ideology of party members and people about the meaning of the new rural construction program, the activities of the Party cell, the Veterans Association, Women's Union, Party cell and Executive Committee have set an example of typical land donation movements in localities reported by the press; highlighted the role of cadres and party members in solidarity, exemplary leadership... Just like that, the propaganda and ideological dissemination work has gone ahead in a systematic way, the implementation process emphasizes democracy, so it has been supported by the people.

Village 1B mobilized internal resources from the people to upgrade the cultural house and sports field with an area of ​​800m2 with solid concrete. In addition to the prescribed amount, many households also voluntarily contributed more, typically Mr. Tran Sy Khanh, Tran Ngoc Sau, Le Ngoc Thao. Sharing the matter of lending the village an advance of 20 million VND without interest, party member Le Ngoc Tuong said: "I think lending the village an advance of this amount is very small compared to the achievements that the people have made, moreover, as party members, we need to set an example from the smallest things for the people to follow." Following the example of comrade Tuong, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu and Tran Van Trang also lent the village 45 million VND with the lowest interest rate.... In addition to donating land, gardens, and assets on the land, the people did not ask for compensation for site clearance. Wherever the machines were working, the households happily volunteered to cook rice and water for the mechanics... With the high consensus of the people, village 1B completed the hardening of more than 2 km of roads with an investment of more than 300 million VND. The whole village had 27 households donating 3,000m2 of garden land, over 1,000 acacia and eucalyptus trees...

Along the route close to the Ho Chi Minh trail, village 1A has 152 households, with 474 people, the village is in a particularly difficult situation. First of all, there are difficulties in traffic, the roads are small and narrow, the paths are crisscrossed with buffalo backs and elephant potholes. To implement the new rural construction program, the village executive committee and the Party cell have focused on doing a good job of mass mobilization to create support from the people. The Front Working Committee has 6 members headed by the Party cell secretary. Due to the large area of ​​the village, the sparse population, and some households living on the hills, the whole village has to set up 4 loudspeaker stations. However, members of the Front Working Committee still directly meet each household to propagate the Party and State's guidelines and policies, the benefits of transportation for socio-economic development; On that basis, mobilize households to donate land, cut down trees, dismantle constructions located close to the road, and clear the ground for the construction unit. With the motto "difficult to do first, easy to do later", "party members go first, the village follows", after a short time, the village's mass mobilization team mobilized people to donate thousands of square meters of land, remove embankments, house walls and trees to widen 3 inter-village roads with lengths of 1.2 km; 800m, 400m with a total cost of 320 million VND supported by the State. In addition to donating land, households also contributed nearly 70 million VND to build 140m of intra-field roads, and currently the people are contributing 600m to complete in the first 6 months of 2015. Talking about donating land and contributing funds to open roads, party member Le Van Lieu said: "As a party member, you must be exemplary, only then will people believe and follow".

Like villages 1A and 1B, in 2013, thanks to the Party cell and hamlet executive committee's reasonable mobilization methods, village 4 mobilized people to contribute nearly 100 million VND to build intra-field traffic, and in the first 6 months of 2014, it also mobilized approximately 50 million VND. The skillful mobilization work here is due to the 5-member Mobilization Committee always going deep, closely listening to opinions and explaining to help people understand the benefits of building rural and intra-field traffic roads, so it received high consensus among the people.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Chung - Secretary of Thanh Thinh Commune Party Committee said: "From the effectiveness of "skillful mass mobilization" in villages 4, 1B, 1A, the Commune Party Committee has directed the mass mobilization block to expand to other villages to mobilize people to build intra-field roads prioritizing production. With the motto "The State and the people work together", many items have been and are being completed to serve the people's lives. The efforts to escape poverty, as well as strive for change through the implementation of the New Rural Construction Program of the Party Committee and the people of Thanh Thinh Commune are being "supported" by the Provincial People's Committee, which has a policy and is surveying to invest in upgrading Bai Bang Dam worth about 15 billion VND. This project not only helps the commune stabilize the water source for agricultural development but also has an additional 1 km of asphalt road passing through some hamlets. Therefore, Thanh Thinh Commune Party Committee needs to continue to promote the lesson on the effectiveness of "skillful mass mobilization" work so that the project can be completed soon".
