(Baonghean.vn) - After receiving a document from Nghe An Newspaper transferring the complaint of Mr. Nguyen Sy Binh and Nguyen Sy Thanh, representing 45 households in village 6, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong, who are farming in Khe Mu, Thanh Thuy commune, petitioned the District People's Committee to review the compensation and support regime for land acquisition... on December 31, 2011, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee responded to Nghe An Newspaper in writing as follows:

Implementing the Project of Building Model Resettlement Areas for Fishermen on Lam River in Thanh Thuy and Thanh Chuong Communes, the District Compensation Council has organized an inventory of assets, trees, and crops on the affected land, developed a compensation plan, and supported submission to competent authorities for appraisal, approval, and payment to affected households and individuals. Currently, households have handed over the land to implement the project.

Regarding the land area of ​​the affected households, compared with current regulations, the District Compensation and Site Clearance Council found that there was not enough basis to determine the price of compensation and support for land, specifically for the following reasons: among the land area of ​​the households affected by the project, no household had valid documents on the land, so the District Compensation and Site Clearance Council did not consider compensation and support for land but asked the households to submit the documents to the Provincial People's Committee for a settlement plan. During the process of collecting documents and papers, only 20/45 households submitted documents to the Compensation and Site Clearance Council.

Thanh Chuong District People's Committee said: Currently, the district has asked for the policy of the Provincial People's Committee. When there is a specific decision on handling by the Provincial People's Committee, the district will implement it and respond to the households that have made complaints and petitions.
