Defeating Hanoi, SLNA won the National Children's Championship for the third consecutive time
(Baonghean.vn) - Overcoming U11 PVF in the semi-final after a nerve-wracking penalty shootout, U11 SLNA once again demonstrated the mettle of the defending champions, overwhelmingly defeating U11 Hanoi in the final match of the 2019 National Children's Football Tournament.
In the final, with a familiar lineup including goalkeeper Vo Minh Quan, Tran Dong Thuc, Nguyen Xuan Truong, Cao Hoang Dat and Tran Hai Dang, U11 SLNA quickly dominated the game as soon as the ball started rolling.
Compared to U11 Hanoi, SLNA was considered to be better and the opening goal proved it. From a sideline kick, captain Xuan Truong made a perfect long-range shot into the far corner, beating the Hanoi goalkeeper. A few minutes later, captain Xuan Truong once again showed his leadership role with a decisive shot, raising the score to 2-0.
Just 3 minutes later, U11 SLNA's top scorer Tran Hai Dang spoke up with his 9th goal of the finals. Before the end of the first half, U11 SLNA had another goal to lead 4-0 with a beautiful long-range shot by Tran Dong Thuc in the 20th minute.

In the second half, U11 SLNA still did not want to stop and continuously created an overwhelming game. Strikers Tran Hai Dang and Cao Hoang Dat took turns shooting at Hanoi's goal but the crossbar and the post saved U11 Hanoi.
The remaining minutes witnessed tireless efforts from U11 Hanoi, however, goalkeeper Vo Minh Quan of U11 SLNA played brilliantly, continuously saving the home team.
In the end, U11 SLNA won 4-0 against Hanoi, thereby once again winning the National Children's Championship with an undefeated record. This is the 5th time SLNA has won the tournament for Children's players in 2001, 2002, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Not only winning the championship, U11 SLNA also won a series of individual titles and style awards. Striker Tran Hai Dang, who played for ND Hoang Mai in the 2018 and 2019 Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, was honored as the "top scorer" (9 goals). Players Xuan Truong, Hai Dang, Vo Minh Quan were included in the typical lineup.
In addition, captain Nguyen Xuan Truong - former player of Thai Hoa Children's Football Club at the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament was honored as the best player of the tournament. Thus, in 2019, the Nghe An team brought home 3 championship titles U11, U13 and U15./.
Defeating PVF, U11 SLNA enters the National Children's final
