Defeating U19 Myanmar, U19 Thailand won third place
Patipan's injury-time goal helped Thailand U19 defeat Myanmar U19 to win third place in the 2014 Southeast Asian U19 Championship.
Entering the third place match of the 2014 Southeast Asian U19 tournament, coach Sasom Pobprasert of Thailand U19 made many changes to the squad, sending out mostly reserve players.
Meanwhile, U19 Myanmar kept most of the players who played in the match against U19 Vietnam, so it is not difficult to understand why coach Gerd Zeise's team took the initiative from the start.
Many opportunities were created by U19 Myanmar, but the lack of luck of the strikers and the excellence of goalkeeper Anusit on the Thai side prevented U19 Myanmar from opening the score.

On the opposite side of the field, U19 Thailand also had a few notable moves, but in the final moves, Patipan and Sittichok handled the ball incorrectly.
In the 28th minute, after a mistake by goalkeeper Myo Min Latt of Myanmar U19, Thai player Phonkam had a chance to shoot at an empty goal but his shot hit the post and bounced out.
After this situation, U19 Thailand suddenly had a better game and made U19 Myanmar face difficulties. In the 35th minute, another opportunity to open the score came to the Thai team but in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. Patipan failed to finish. The first half ended without any goals scored.
In the second half, U19 Thailand dominated from the start, causing U19 Myanmar many difficulties. However, the team from the Golden Temple country still could not take advantage of the opportunities to convert into goals.
In the following minutes, coach Gerd Zeise made some personnel adjustments and that helped U19 Myanmar have a better game. However, at the decisive moments, Myanmar's strikers still showed no luck and could not score.

Despite many attacks but unable to score, U19 Myanmar had to concede a goal in the extra minute of the match. From a smart pass from his teammate, Patipan handled the ball accurately and decisively, defeating goalkeeper Myo Min Latt, bringing U19 Thailand to a final victory of 1-0.
Winning 1-0, U19 Thailand secured third place in this year's U19 Southeast Asian Championship. This can be considered a sweet revenge by U19 Thailand against U19 Myanmar after recent consecutive losses.
The fate of the two countries will continue when U19 Myanmar and U19 Thailand will continue to be in the same group in the U19 Asian tournament taking place next month./.
