'Honor is the most sacred and noble thing'

On the morning of April 12, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security and the National Political Publishing House Truth jointly organized the launching ceremony of the book "Honor is the most sacred and noble thing".

The book synthesizes and distills the opinions, articles and images of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong towards the People's Public Security force, which have both theoretical and practical significance, thereby demonstrating the deep concern and trust of the Party, State and people towards the People's Public Security force.

At the same time, it demonstrates the very high political determination of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in leading and directing the promotion of the exemplary role; the awareness of self-reflection, self-correction, self-cultivation and training of each public security officer and soldier.

The Party leader's advice with the expectation and wish that each Party member, cadre and soldier must wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people, regardless of fame and profit, not for material benefits affect, even destroy, trample on the honor of themselves and the People's Public Security Forces; regularly "self-examine" and "self-correct".

With 208 pages, the book is divided into two main parts. Part 1 includes 8 speeches and articles by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong about the Public Security Forces since he became General Secretary (since 2011); General Secretary and President from October 2018 to after the 13th National Party Congress; 3 letters and 1 preface for the book "History of the Central Public Security Party Committee (1945 - 2015)".

In part 2, the Publishing House selected nearly 120 images of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the Public Security Forces and 20 images of the General Secretary and international friends. The highlight is the image of the Public Security officers and soldiers performing the task of absolutely protecting the safety of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's overseas business trips, thereby expressing the love, respect, closeness and attachment of the Public Security officers and soldiers and international friends for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong...
