List of industry commanders answering questions from the National Assembly

Commanders of the Finance, Information - Communications, Banking and Court sectors will participate in the question and answer session at the 4th session of the 14th National Assembly.

Today (November 8), the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a document informing National Assembly deputies of the results of the consultation on the organization of questioning activities at this session.

Accordingly, in the 5 groups of questions that were put out for consultation to choose 4, the group on financial issues received the highest number of votes with more than 88% of the choices. Next was the group on information and communication (more than 85%), the group on banking (nearly 78%), the group on court issues (75.6%) and finally the group on labor, war invalids and social affairs (more than 71%).

Thus, four industry commanders will take the stage to answer questions with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, respectively: Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Le Minh Hung, and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh.

Although the group of issues on labor, war invalids and social affairs also received a high number of votes, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, although on the proposed list, was not selected. The reason is easy to guess because Minister Dung just answered questions between the two sessions at the April 2017 meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

For Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, this is a routine appearance. At the year-end meeting, the Prime Minister will report to clarify issues under the Government's management responsibility and directly answer questions from National Assembly deputies.

Regarding the sector commanders, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung will answer questions on tax management (resolving tax arrears; inspection; combating tax losses and transfer pricing), customs, ensuring a safe and sustainable financial system. Solutions to strengthen safe and effective public debt management.

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan will answer questions on the group of issues of implementing information technology applications to meet the requirements of administrative reform, especially administrative procedure reform and e-Government development. State management of press and media; media service system, socialization of radio and television programs. Solutions to control and limit bad, toxic, offensive information on social networks and orient information, promote culture and social ethics.

Governor of the State Bank Le Minh Hung will appear for the first time to answer questions. He will explain the issues of monetary policy management to ensure production support and reasonable and safe credit growth. The operations of weak banks have been handled by the State and safe and effective solutions for the banking system.

Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh will answer questions about solutions to improve the quality of adjudication, especially civil and administrative adjudication. Improving the qualifications, capacity and responsibility of the staff and civil servants of the People's Court sector will meet the requirements of judicial reform.
