In terms of strength, the U21 SLNA squad is mostly players from 1999, 2000 and 2001 who have never been tested in the V.League. Even some faces from the U17 SLNA team were promoted to try out. However, U21 SLNA still has the names Nguyen Ba Duc, Nguyen Van Duc, Nguyen Van Viet, Duong Van Cuong... who are outstanding players in the National U19 Finals and have been tested in the U21 playground for a few years.

U21 SLNA added 6 players from U17, the rest were mostly born in 2000, 2001.
